what does eddie learn in one of his lessons and what do you think?

i think eddies most valuable leasson he learns is the one from tala, the asian girl burt in the hut. he learns that his life wasn;t as big waste and that he was here for a reason.

novel- 5 people you meet in heven

this book so far from what i have read has an interesting structure and layout. it is quite interesing but i must admit i have been slack in reading this bok and am only half way through it. i am interested to see what happens and how everything works out and who else eddie meets in heven.

chose one of the symbols and explain why is it used, what it means and your opinion on it.

the colour 'red' is used alot and occurs very frequently throughout the movie. it mainly symbolises love, passion and death. i think that it is a very important symbol and its use is very important. i like the way the director has chosen to use the red filter because it is very approiate for this type of film eg. the ambulance is red, the red filter, the mainly her hair colour.

how and what does the way the sequence is filmed tell us about a main idea?
it is filmed with very fast shots and just shows main people and ideas that link into lola getting the 100,000 marks. the casino shows that she is trying to get money for manni.

-all endings are also beginings.
i personally dont belive in after life or any of that stuff. so i think once you die its the end and it stops there
-no story sits by itself
i dont think things are connected and happen because other things do. it happens by chance.

i think controlling time is stupid. if you change one thing you change everything. just watch the butterfly effect to know what i mean.
i dont think i would change anything if i could.... mabye kill hitler before he was born but thats about it.

what are the main characteristics of lola and why?

i think her love for manni is an important characteristic because if she did not love him she wouldn't be risking her life to get the 100 marks manni needs to stay alive... also lolas hair symbolizes alot, blood, hate, anger, love..... other thinks are also red like the telephone (wich we see everytime she dies, the ambulence which runs over manni and otha things aswell

key ideas in the film and why?

Love over powers everything. the whole movie is about manni getting the 100 marks so he doesn't die. the movie title run lola run is about lola running against time to get the money to manni. She is doing this because she doesn't want manni do die because she loves him.. i thing that love is the main idea in this film!

narrative techniques

this is a type of film where it is ok to have different narritive techniques such as anamations and things that are not auctually possible in real life like glasses breaking.... i like the structure of flashbacks, flash forwards etc

what happens, standing out images and thoughts on run lola run

what happens. mani gets his money off the bum and pays the guy whilst lola has the 100 marks she won at a casino that was ment to be for mani to pay that guy so he didnt get killed.

images that stood out to me were the parts that were repeditave like mr myer crashing, the nuns, lady pushing the pram etc. but most of all lola running.

my final thoughts on the movie... It wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be. When i herd it was German i though it was goin to be hard to understand because of my experience with other foerign movies but there wasn't alot of talking. more action with music playing constantly which made it easy to understand and interesting.

i think this film was chosen because our topic were studying is FATE

my first thoughts on this movie was weird. i wasnt sure if she was able to travel back in time or not. it was abit hard to read the subtitles and watch the movie
